This policy lists the cookies and local-storage keys set by duskolicanin.com, why they exist, and how to disable them. It's read alongside the Privacy Policy.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store so later visits can remember something (language, theme, session). "Local storage" does the same thing, just through a slightly different browser API. On this site, both are treated the same way — used minimally, first-party only.
What this site sets
Strictly necessary (no opt-out — needed for the site to work)
| Key | Purpose | Storage | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
i18nextLng | Remembers your UI language (en / bs) | Local storage | Until you clear browser data |
Analytics (optional)
If a page-view analytics provider is active, it may set one first-party cookie (_pa or similar) with an anonymised identifier rotated daily, for deduplicating repeat page-views from the same browser. No cross-site tracking, no ad targeting. Aggregate data only.
What this site does not set
- No Google Analytics cookies (
_ga,_gid,_gat). - No ad network cookies (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight, etc.).
- No session cookies — there's no login on this site.
- No third-party sharing, retargeting, or lead-form tags.
Cookies from embedded third-party content
Some pages embed content from providers that may set their own cookies when the media is played:
- Mux / Cloudflare (HLS video backdrops): may set cookies related to CDN performance and streaming stability. See Mux's privacy policy at mux.com.
- LinkedIn profile links: opening a profile on LinkedIn applies LinkedIn's own cookie policy — I don't control that.
These only activate if you interact with the embedded content (play a video, click through to a profile).
Turning cookies off
- All cookies: your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) have a "Block all cookies" option. This site will still work, but your language preference won't be remembered between visits.
- Only third-party / tracking cookies: most browsers have a toggle for "Block third-party cookies". Recommended for general browsing, not needed for this site specifically.
- Specific site: in browser settings, search for "duskolicanin.com" and clear or block from there.
Changes
Updates to this policy follow the same rules as the Privacy Policy: material changes get a new "Last updated" date. If a new analytics or embedded provider is added, this table is updated before the feature ships.
